A TENT @ W Hong Kong
A Tent was displayed in Hong Kong for the BODW week, and is now a permanent feature at W Hong Kong.
The concept for the hotel is ‘enchanted forest’, and is characterized by earth-inspired textures and motifs. At the hotel’s lobby, the Tent sits by the W signature wall, and between the tree-trunk pillars.
It was a pleasant experience to stay at W Hong Kong, and to work with them. For those who missed the closing party for BODW at W Hong Kong, please come by and take a seat inside the installation.

Raffles Institution Design Workshop
Last year, Raffles Institution Art Program commissioned Studio Juju to develop a workshop that will introduce design and design thinking to its year 5 students.
The studio’s approach was to adopt the usual rigorous design thinking methods into a light-hearted and reactive process for the young artists, with the emphasis on “design-doing”.
Conceived as a series of hands-on exercises, the workshop inspired the students to react to a brief, and to create, question and re-define their works simultaneously.
The first exercise focused on “Imagine & Make”. The students crafted their prototypes quickly with paper and cardboard, some aided by their sketches. The act of making with confidence and intuition helped them to shape their imaginations creatively in physical forms.
The results are happy, free-spirited and visually exciting, and the students are encouraged to adopt the same attitude of making with confidence in their individual coursework.

Istanbul Design Week 2011
Istanbul Design Week will take place from the 28th September – 2nd October 2011 at the old Galata Bridge in Istanbul, Turkey. Studio Juju will join a panel of speakers from various design disciplines in an open discussion and sharing of experiences.
[A TENT] – a project conceived for the W Hotels & Design Miami/ “Designers of the Future” award will also be showcased during the event.
